High-speed natural gas burner for rotary furnace aluminum smelting

2025-06-26

Based on the characteristics of the melting furnace's thermal process and the requirements for uniform furnace temperature, a PID-type high-speed temperature control burner combustion system with a burner controller is adopted.

The main features of the high-speed temperature control burner are:

(1) High flame kinetic energy: The fuel mixes and burns multiple times with the combustion air inside the burner, and the high-temperature flame gas is ejected at high speed from the burner nozzle, with a speed ≥100m/s. This strongly draws in and disturbs the atmosphere inside the furnace, enhancing convective heat transfer with the material, shortening the heating time, and saving fuel. At the same time, due to the promotion of furnace atmosphere circulation, the uniformity of the furnace temperature is improved;

(2) Adjustable burner outlet temperature: The general adjustment range is 200-1100℃, making the furnace temperature control range large enough to meet the requirements of the heat treatment process for furnace temperature;

(3) Large burner adjustment ratio, up to 1:15, making the burner's output adjustment range larger and the combustion more stable; a burner controller can be equipped to achieve automated combustion. This not only reduces the labor intensity of operators but also makes combustion more efficient and energy-saving, resulting in a higher level of thermal process technology for the entire furnace;

The burner controller uses a programmable controller or microprocessor as its core component and can achieve automatic ignition, flame monitoring indication, automatic switching between high and low fire control, and flameout alarm protection for the high-speed temperature control burner. It can not only control the output power of the high-speed temperature control burner but also perform pulse sequence control on multiple burners, automating the entire combustion process. To achieve automatic control of the burner, in addition to the controller, self-control valves must be installed at the inlets of the burner's combustion air, fuel gas, and ignition.
