1. Coke Oven Gas Composition

Coke oven gas, also known as coke gas, is a high-calorie gas with many combustible components, also referred to as crude gas or raw gas. Its main components are hydrogen (55%~60%) and methane (23%~27%), along with small amounts of carbon monoxide (5%~8%), unsaturated hydrocarbons above C2 (2%~4%), carbon dioxide (1.5%~3%), oxygen (0.3%~0.8%), and nitrogen (3%~7%). Hydrogen, methane, carbon monoxide, and unsaturated hydrocarbons above C2 are combustible components, while carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and oxygen are non-combustible components. It is mainly used in power generation, hot blast stoves, dryers, and other heating equipment.

2. Characteristics of Coke Oven Gas

1. Coke oven gas has a high calorific value of 3980—4480 Kcal/Nm³, with a high combustible component content (approximately 90%);

2. Coke oven gas is a colorless gas with an odor;

3. Coke oven gas is toxic due to its CO and small amounts of H2S content;

4. Coke oven gas has a high hydrogen content, burns quickly, and has a shorter flame;

5. If coke oven gas is not well purified, it will clog pipes and fittings, making fire adjustment difficult;

3. Control Characteristics of Coke Oven Gas Burners

1. The fuel type has a high calorific value, and the mixed gas mainly contains hydrogen (H2), which burns quickly.

2. There are no fuel pressure requirements; the design can be made based on the given value before ordering. The typical gas design pressure is 5-8 KPa.

3. Control systems such as damper adjustment proportional type, frequency conversion adjustment proportional type, touch screen digital control, and PLC frequency conversion proportional control can be configured according to user requirements.

4. Gas and damper are controlled by separate channels. The air/gas ratio K value is set online to accurately control the air/gas ratio, preventing errors caused by linkage transmission.

5. Functions such as flame detection and flameout protection, automatic ignition, valve leak detection, overtemperature and overpressure protection, and status parameter display are configured. The configuration can be customized according to needs.

6. Mainly used in boilers, dryers, hot blast stoves, incinerators, and rotary kilns.
