Kaolin Rotary Kiln

2025-08-30

1. Working Principle

Raw meal powder enters the kiln cylinder from the discharge pipe at the kiln tail (high end). Compound motion: Due to the inclination and slow rotation of the kiln cylinder, the material undergoes radial and axial compound motion inside the kiln, rolling along the circumferential direction while moving axially from the high-temperature end to the low end.

Calcination process: The material is preheated, decomposed, and sintered inside the kiln, with the preheating zone temperature reaching 330 above ℃, the decomposition zone undergoes dehydration, decarbonization, and other reactions, and the sintering zone temperature reaches 1000 ~ 1130 ℃, allowing the kaolin to be fully calcined. The raw materials are mostly kaolinite minerals.   (Such as coal gangue, ordinary kaolin ore, etc.) mainly containing kaolinite, quartz, mica, and other minerals.

2. Burner Selection

  1. Gas Burner

Fuel: natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, light hydrocarbon gas, and other chemical tail gas fuels;

  1. Oil Burner

Fuel: diesel, methanol, heavy oil, alcohol-based fuels, etc.

  1. Coal Powder Burner

Fuel: coal powder
