Magnesium Oxide Rotary Kiln
2025-08-30
1. Working Principle
Magnesite is fed into the kiln through the kiln tail (high end) chute. Due to the inclination and slow rotation of the cylinder, the magnesite rolls circumferentially while moving axially from the kiln tail (high end) to the kiln head (low end). Fuel is sprayed into the kiln from the kiln head end through burners for combustion. Heat is transferred to the magnesite by radiation, convection, conduction, and other methods. Inside the kiln, the magnesite undergoes preheating, decomposition, and sintering processes, calcining into calcined magnesite, which is then discharged from the kiln head device. Calcination temperature 330-800 ℃ (light calcination); 1400-1600 ℃ (heavy calcination). Raw materials are mostly magnesite, dolomite, hydromagnesite, talc, boron magnesite, serpentine, etc. 。
2. Burner Selection
- Gas Burner
Fuel: natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, light hydrocarbon gas, etc.;
- Oil Burner
Fuel: diesel, methanol, heavy oil, alcohol-based fuels, etc.
- Pulverized Coal Burner
Fuel: pulverized coal
Currently, the most commonly used burners on the market are natural gas burners and dual-fuel burners that mix pulverized coal and natural gas.
3. Applicable Industries
Chemical, building materials, refractory materials, environmental protection, and other industries.
