Barium sulfate rotary kiln

2025-08-30

Working Principle

The core of the barium sulfate rotary kiln calcination process is to convert sodium sulfate and barium salt solution into barium sulfate through high-temperature chemical reactions. The specific process principle is as follows:

Chemical Reaction Principle

Under high-temperature conditions, sodium sulfate reacts with barium salt solution to produce barium sulfate. This reaction requires 600-1200℃ a high-temperature environment, and the rotary calcination ensures the material fully contacts the high-temperature environment to promote the chemical reaction.

Process Flow

‌ Raw Material Pretreatment ‌ Sodium sulfate and barium salt solution are mixed in proportion and prepared into materials meeting calcination requirements through crushing, screening, and other processes.

‌ Feeding and Conveying ‌ Materials are uniformly fed into the rotary kiln cylinder through a screw conveyor.

‌ Calcination Process ‌ :

‌ Preheating Stage ‌ ( 200-600℃ ) The material completes the evaporation of free water and crystallization water at this stage.

‌ Calcination Stage ‌ ( 600-1200℃ ) Sodium sulfate reacts with barium salt to form barium sulfate, releasing heat simultaneously.

‌ Cooling Stage ‌ ( Below 300℃ The product stabilizes in a low-temperature environment to avoid structural changes. ‌ 12

‌ Dust Collection and Environmental Protection ‌ Pulse bag dust collectors are used to collect dust, ensuring minimal dust emissions during production. ‌

The barium sulfate rotary kiln is a cylindrical calcination vessel with a certain rotation speed and inclination angle, used for calcining barium sulfate. The raw material moves from the high end to the low end, completing calcination, with a calcination temperature of 1100-1200 ℃. Raw materials include barite, barium sulfate, gold ore, chromite ore, barium sulfate, pyrrhotite, iron ore, etc.
