Dolomite Rotary Kiln

2025-08-30

1. Working Principle

The main function of the dolomite calcination rotary kiln is to calcine dolomite at high temperatures, converting it into highly active light-burned or dead-burned dolomite. The rotary kiln burner sprays fuel to burn, producing high-temperature flue gas, causing the dolomite to be uniformly heated at high temperature ( 800-1800℃ ) to complete the decomposition reaction, removing carbon dioxide and moisture.

Light-burned dolomite has strong activity and is often used as a desulfurizer in steelmaking to reduce sulfur content in steel; dead-burned dolomite has high hardness and corrosion resistance and can be used as refractory material for kiln linings. The rotary kiln's continuous production feature is efficient, allowing stable control of calcination temperature and time, ensuring uniform product quality. Applications of Calcined Dolomite It is also used in building materials, chemical industries, and for manufacturing products such as glass and ceramics.

2. Burner Selection

  1. Gas Burners

Fuels: natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, light hydrocarbon gas, etc.;

  1. Oil Burners

Fuels: diesel, methanol, heavy oil, alcohol-based fuels, etc.

  1. Coal Powder Burners

Fuel: coal powder

Currently widely used in the industry Coal Powder Burners mostly
