  1. Basic Principles of High-Velocity Burners

High-velocity natural gas burners: These are widely used rapid heating burners in industrial kilns. They typically incorporate a combustion chamber where fuel and air mix and combust (≥85%), producing high-temperature flue gas that is ejected at high speed from the burner nozzle due to expansion pressure.

The basic principle of a high-velocity burner is similar to a simple jet engine. The fuel essentially combusts completely in the combustion chamber or the front half of the combustion tunnel because the sealed combustion chamber maintains sufficient pressure, allowing the high-temperature fuel gas to be ejected at a high speed of 100-300 m/s. This high-velocity airflow promotes gas circulation within the furnace, enhancing convective heat transfer, improving temperature uniformity, reducing workpiece oxidation and burning, achieving energy savings and improving production quality.

If adjustable secondary air is supplied at the combustion chamber outlet or the latter half of the combustion tunnel, the temperature of the combustion airflow can be regulated, forming a high-velocity temperature-regulating burner. Additionally, high-velocity burners can improve their performance by adjusting excess air and fuel gas, and can even use multiple fuels, indicating strong fuel adaptability.

Using high-velocity burner technology significantly simplifies kiln structure and reduces costs, typically achieving around 30% energy savings in kilns, resulting in significant economic benefits.

  2. Advantages of High-Velocity Burners

High-velocity burners allow fuel to combust completely at high heat loads. The burner's combustion chamber is very small, allowing for essentially complete combustion of the fuel within it, resulting in very high volumetric heat intensity. Simultaneously, the high velocity of the combustion gas enhances convective heat transfer and improves furnace temperature uniformity.

  3. Types of High-Temperature Burners

High-velocity burners can use gaseous and liquid fuels. Gaseous fuels and light fuel oils are typically used for ease of combustion control and adjustment. High-velocity burners have a built-in dual-electrode structure, connecting to a Zhongwei dedicated burner controller for automatic ignition and flame monitoring. A high-precision UV probe monitors the flame combustion status in real-time. In case of flameout, the system will generate an audible and visual alarm and immediately cut off the gas supply to ensure personnel and equipment safety.

Zhongwei Environmental Protection specializes in the design and production of various types of burners: gas and oil burners, coal powder burners, rotary kiln burners, baking equipment, and automated control systems; kiln design and construction, pollution prevention and purification equipment, desulfurization and denitrification equipment, and online monitoring system EPC.
